Event Participation & Liability Waiver

Participation in the Event is voluntary. Photography events take place in and around athletic facilities and may involve light physical activity, sports equipment, photography and lighting gear, other participants, and outdoor conditions. I understand these ordinary risks and accept them on behalf of the Participant.

To the fullest extent permitted by Illinois law, I release Antonio Vargas Photography and its owner from claims for personal injury or property damage arising out of ordinary negligence in connection with the Participant’s attendance at the Event.

This release does not extend to gross negligence, willful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be waived under Illinois law.

No medical services are provided at the Event. In an emergency, I consent to reasonable first aid being provided and to emergency services being contacted for the Participant. Any medical costs are the responsibility of the Participant or their family.

The Participant is responsible for their own belongings at the Event. Participants will follow the rules of the venue and any reasonable safety instructions given during the Event.

The Event is a photography event: attending means the Participant will be photographed. Use of images of minors is governed by the Minor Photo Release & Media Consent, which is required for minor participants, and by the Youth Sports Photo Policy at antoniovargas.io/photo-policy.

If the Event is postponed for weather, facility, or scheduling reasons, this waiver carries over to the rescheduled date.

I confirm that I am at least 18 years old and that I am the Participant, or the Participant’s parent, legal guardian, or an adult authorized to sign on their behalf. If any part of this waiver is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. This waiver is governed by Illinois law.
